When you visit this room, don't forget to read the poem on its walls, "For Those I Love," to get some sense of the loving spirit we want to instill in our small friends. This room has lots of places--from pod chairs to teddy bears--in which to nestle or cuddle. Beyond those private or semi-private nests are a playhouse and dollhouse figures that echo the mural theme of homes and neighborhoods, and the people in them. This is a place to start the lessons of learning to live with others.
A ring of dancing children greets the young visitors to this room. Echoing the variety of figures on the wall, our four-year-olds will put on costumes from a diverse world and experiment with play-acting. Students will also be able to put on performances of their own imagining on the small stage of our puppet theater. Children are delighted to gather to the sound of the big drum, which they like to beat all by themselves! This room helps us to teach Jesus' example of the circle of God's love which includes everyone.
